NOTICE OF PRICE FLUCTUATIONS
In line with its policy of complete transparency, LBOL regrets to inform its clientèle that, because of the continuing weakening of the UK Pound against the Euro (at times down over 40% since our pricing policies were fixed in 2005) we now have to fix prices on a day-to-day basis. (Euro prices have also increased, but normally at around 3% per annum.)
Since our pricing policies were introduced in May 2005, the price of the euro has dropped from 66 pence to the euro to almost parity to the euro (1st January 2009). It is presently (1st January 2010) hovering around 90 pence to the euro. These fluctuations (see the graph below) have led to changes in our pricings on many occasions.
OWING TO THE UNCERTAIN NATURE OF THE EXCHANGE RATES, ORDERS FOR ALL ITEMS FROM THE EURO-ZONE WILL BE TAKEN ON A DAILY PRICING BASIS. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO OFFER GUARANTEED PRICES ON OUR QUOTES. WE ARE CONFIDENT, HOWEVER, THAT THIS IS A TEMPORARY MEASURE UNTIL THE POUND IS ABLE TO BOUNCE BACK.

We apologise to our customers for this situation which is completely outside of our control: we will return to earlier pricing and delivery patterns when sterling returns to a more stable position. The surcharge does not affect carriage or UK publishers.
Website pages are being updated - until they are updated, the above measures apply to all prices on this web-site.
